The Spinnaker Inn Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY MIS-UNDERSTANDING

Thank you for your enquiry. N.b.These Terms and Conditions supersede all previous.
IMPORTANT NOTICE; WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT WE REGRET WE WILL NOT BOOK A ROOM OR ROOMS UNLESS CREDIT/BEBIT CARD DETAILS ARE PROVIDED, OR UNLESS AGREEMENT HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN MADE TO INVOICE A COMPANY.

We would like to advise you of our prices for Rooms and Breakfast, together with our standard conditions.
Please remember that we charge PER ROOM, not per person. All Rooms are ‘En-Suite’. Breakfast is an extra.

Single Rooms; £42.90. -We have a total of three rooms.

Double Rooms; Standard £49.90 – one of these rooms is a double-twin. We have 4 rooms **

Double Rooms; Deluxe and Premier - £59.90 – all except one are double-twins; we have 16 rooms, and 4 of these can also have a ‘Z-bed’ ***supplied, BUT only for children under 16 years of age.

We very much regret that we cannot allow dogs (except licensed Guide Dogs) in any of our bedrooms, but well behaved dogs are allowed in the bar area. Even if you have been allocated a specific room we reserve the right to re-allocate your room for operational reasons.
No more than TWO adults -18 or over-are allowed in any one room owing to health & safety, fire regulations and insurance demands.

Breakfast;
We do not include this in your room rate, as it leaves you free to leave earlier or later than the normal breakfast times. We feel that it should be your choice, rather than force you to pay through the room charge.

Please note that the minimum charge for Breakfast is £4.95. Our usual Breakfast times are; Monday-Friday 07.00 to 09.00; Weekends and Bank Holidays 08.30 to 09.30
Both styles of Breakfast have the choice of Cereals, Fruit-such as Grapefruit-, Yoghurts, Fresh fruit, Orange Juice, Tea and Coffee, Marmalade and Preserves, all ad-lib. We also offer a ‘Continental Breakfast’ which can include your choice of; Croissants, Sliced Ham, Cheese, Bread Roll (usually a baguette). £4.95
Our ‘Full English’ is your choice of; Fried or Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Sausage, Plum Tomatoes, Baked Beans, Black Pudding, Fried Bread and White or Brown Toast. £6.50. All items are subject to availability.

Breakfast orders……please bear in mind that your order is not prepared until you arrive, and our Chef may already be preparing meals for Guests who have arrived earlier.

Our check-in time is 14.30hrs, and the Check-out time is 10.00hrs.
Important; If you think that you may arrive after 10.00 at night (22.00hrs) please phone us on 01489 572 123 and we will arrange a key and map to be put in a locked box on a pillar by the main door- and will supply you with a code number. For an early check-in, we will always do our best, but it will depend on the work schedule of our Housekeeping Staff. We are not a 24-hour establishment. See below.

It is important to note that we have a ’24 hour cancellation policy’ but this may, at our discretion, be lengthened for bookings of more than two rooms and, especially, for ‘Group’ or ‘Company’ Bookings where we may require an order number and, possibly, a deposit payment subject to mutual agreement.

FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CANCELLATION POLICY, `
WE MUST HAVE NOTIFICATION BY 12 O’CLOCK (NOON) ON THE PREVIOUS DAY

Please note that emails are read during the day, but –owing to Staff duties in the Establishment - we cannot always guarantee to read them immediately upon receipt,
so please phone if you need an urgent response.

If you cancel the booking within 24 hours of the first booked date, or fail to arrive to take up your booking, we reserve the right to charge the credit/debit card with the Room Charge. This will be for one night only. If you do not arrive, and/or do not inform us of the cancellation, the remainder of the booking will automatically be cancelled. If you consider that you will not arrive before 22.00hrs on the evening of the start of the booking, please advise us. We are not a Hotel, and do not have a Night Porter. Unless you contact us to arrange a late arrival, we cannot guarantee that there will be anyone available to give you your Room key.

IMPORTANT; At certain times of the year –e.g. Cowes Week & Southampton Boat Show- we must request that full payment is made at the time of booking or not less than 28 days prior to the first night booked –at our discretion. We do not raise our prices at busy times –unlike many other establishments- and, as such, receive many enquiries. You will be advised of the dates for which full payment is requested, and this may well be some days in advance of the event.

This notice is based on our experience over several years when the 24-hour policy’ has meant that genuine bookings have had to be turned away, and ‘on-spec’ bookings have used the 24-hours clause to cancel at the latest moment. We also reserve the right to charge the full fee –for whatever reason at our discretion- in advance and this may be at the time of booking.

Please remember to leave your room key with us upon your departure, as this can cause difficulties for the next Guest and we may have to charge you for a replacement.

WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT WE HAVE CANCELLED OUR POLICY OF ‘HOLDING’ ROOMS PENDING CONFIRMATION.
We ask for credit/debit card details to secure your booking. No booking is accepted until card details are supplied –whether or not this is the card from which payment will be made, but non-arrival will mean that this is the card to which a charge will be made.
Under normal circumstances, no money is taken until you arrive (at which time we ask if you wish to
pre-order your breakfast )subject to the paragraph above, UNLESS the 24 hour cancellation policy, as outlined above, is activated.
If you have a mobility problem, please bring this to the attention of Reception
as this will need to be noted in the case of an emergency.
Further information is available in your Room.
** The number of rooms quoted is our ‘empty’ capacity. Sometimes, rooms are taken out of service in order to upgrade or maintain the facilities. We will advise you when you contact us of the availability.
*** Z-beds are limited, and are only ‘as available’. Please ensure you ask at the time of booking your room.

IMPORTANT NOTICE; Please note that we occasionally have Functions and Entertainment, especially at weekends. Whilst there are limitations to the hours, there may be some extra noise as Entertainers, Guests and Residents disperse. We ask for their co-operation in keeping noise to a minimum, but cannot guarantee that they will adhere to this, although there are legal limits which are adhered to. We are close to a main road and the standard rooms no’s. 4-5-6- may receive extra noise if windows are open.

Please check our website where you should find details of bands appearing here –mostly on Friday evenings. You are also welcome to check direct with us. Music ceases at 23.30 latest, but there may be some noise as the Band collect all their ‘gear’ and vacates the premises.

We regard your room as a place for relaxation; We do, as mentioned above, sometimes have Functions and Music, but PLEASE remember other Guests are staying with us and will often have had long journeys –often from abroad- and respect their privacy.

With reference to Music, we often have a Band or similar entertainment on a Friday evening, and this takes place at the lower end of the main bar area. In addition, we often hold Functions -perhaps a Birthday celebration or a Wedding Reception in our Function Suite, or maybe at the lower end of the main bar area. Whilst we may advise you, when you book, that there is no Music or Function, please bear in mind that such an event could possibly be arranged after your booking. Thus, if you have any concerns, you would be well advised to contact us several days before your arrival. Please see the map of our establishment, and you will note the situation of the bar and Function areas.

Regrettably, we have no direct control over guests leaving a function and some noise may occur outside the function and car park areas. We will not, however, put up with any sort of vandalism and you are asked to report any such occurrence to Reception, when the Police will be informed if necessary.

Please advise us as soon as possible concerning any problems in your room. We will do our best to resolve the matter –it may just be a light bulb or similar- but any major problems will be attended to just as soon as practicable. We will endeavour to move you to a more suitable room if the problem is of such magnitude that you room is unsuitable.
